From distant shores they’ve heard Friuli’s ancient Call of the Celts. A warm welcome to our 12th Challenger, the ASTURES CELTAS, from ASTURIAS, in northwest Spain!

Our 11th Challengers for SB5 2013 are no strangers to Lignano. Indeed in 2012, they came very close to ultimate victory, only to lose out in the semi-finals stage. By finishing in 3rd place, they therefore have some unfinished business to attend to this summer. From France, we’re delighted and honoured to welcome back Ovale Beach Marseille.

When it comes to Pirates, these guys aren’t your salty sea-faring type. Rather they’re river pirates who ply their trade around the banks of the Danube and Austria’s capital city, Vienna. Regularly their hunger for treasure leads them south in search of the great riches that lie on the shore of Lignano Sabbiadoro. This year they’re coming heavily armed. It gives us great pleasure to welcome Challenger No. 10, The Danube Pirates.

This coming July, 12 Rare Eagles will take flight bound for Lignano Sabbiadoro. In a single weekend, it’s their dream to turn the world of SUPER BEACH 5′s RUGBY upside down. Where they come from, people cherish their dreams. And they believe. A rousing SB5 welcome for our 9th challengers, ‘THE EAGLES’ from the United States of America.

It will be their 3rd attempt to hunt down the greatest prize in Beach 5′s Rugby. And we all know what BEARS are like when they don’t catch their prey! This coming July might it be 3rd time lucky for our 8th Challenger ? With honour and great pleasure, we announce the return of England’s most stylish and yet most fearsome…The FLAIR BEARS.
